Aluminium Art
About:The original artworks in this series were a collab with pele himself and personally co-signed and premiered at the landmark exhibition “Pelé: Art, Life, Football” at Halcyon Gallery, London, in 2015 to celebrate the football legend’s 75th birthday. The works were later exhibited at the National Football Museum in Manchester (2017–2018).
Inspired by Andy Warhol’s iconic 1978 Athletes series, Louis Sidoli reinterprets the Brazilian icon through a bold, contemporary lens. The imagery draws from a rare 1972 vintage Puma football boots advertisement and an original 1970s Pelé-endorsed Spalding “Handler” football. The artwork also features his legendary No. 10 shirt.
The title pays playful homage to Warhol’s famous “15 minutes of fame” quote. As Warhol once said of Pelé: Instead of 15 minutes, he would be famous for 15 centuries — a prediction that perfectly captures the timeless greatness of the greatest player the game has ever known.
Rendered in Sidoli’s signature mixed-media style on brushed aluminium with high gloss, this piece fuses pop art energy, sporting heritage, and modern industrial edge into a powerful celebration of football royalty.

About: "Waterloo" was written specifically by ABBA to be entered into the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton UK, after the group finished third with "Ring Ring" the previous year in the Swedish pre-selection contest, Melodifestivalen 1973. The song differed from the standard "dramatic ballad" tradition of the Eurovision Song at the time with its glam rock influence. The song shot to No. 1 in the UK and stayed there for two weeks, becoming the first of the band's nine UK No. 1's. This artwork features both lead vocalists Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad in their military inspired costumes that they wore at the song contest final including Agnetha’s iconic blue crochet skull cap.

About: By 1956 Elvis was already a global superstar, but like all young American men at that time he was required to do National Service. Although he was offered the chance to enlist in special services to entertain troops, he chose to serve as a regular soldier, which earned him respect in the public eye. He started his active duty on 24th March 1958 and after training at Fort Hood, he was then based in West Germany. The mugshot used to create this limited edition was his de-mob photo taken shortly before he was discharged on March 5th 1960.

About: This artwork evokes the live "Space Oddity" performance by David Bowie during his 1974 North American Diamond Dogs tour , where he was often elevated above the audience on a cherry picker, singing into a phone prop as Major Tom reaching out into the void.
With his signature flame-orange hair, mint-green shirt, red braces, and bright blue trousers, he sits on stage holding the red telephone to his ear, a traditional symbol of urgent communication - his eyes closed in quiet reflection.
The central themes of the song / performance are isolation, alienation, and detachment. Major Tom’s physical separation from Earth mirrors emotional or psychological disconnection: from society, relationships, purpose, or even one’s sense of self. The final lines convey a calm, almost accepting resignation in the face of the vast unknown (“Planet Earth is blue / And there’s nothing I can do”)
Set against the backdrop of Planet Earth in a star-filled cosmos and illuminated by dramatic stage spotlights, the image preserves the vibe of Bowie’s theatrical 1974 presence. About: Inspired by the film Rocky (1976) - a sports drama written by and starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, a working-class Italian-American boxer in Philadelphia. The plot follows Rocky, a small-time club fighter and debt collector for a loan shark, who lives a modest life with little ambition.
When heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) selects Rocky as an underdog opponent for a publicity stunt, Rocky seizes the chance to train rigorously under his manager, Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith) at “Mighty Micks Boxing Gym”, and prove his worth. Alongside his training, Rocky builds a romance with Adrian Pennino (Talia Shire), a shy pet store worker, which gives him emotional strength.
The film culminates in an intense championship bout where Rocky, though not the winner, goes the distance against Creed, earning respect and self-respect. The film directed by Sam Peckinpah, and also starred Ali MacGraw who McQueen had a public affair with during filming. She later married McQueen on July 13, 1973, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and divorced him in 1978. The artwork features Steve McQueens actual passport, guns and bullets reflecting the theme of the film.

About: “Waterloo was written specifically by ABBA to be entered into the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton UK, after the group finished third with "Ring Ring" the previous year in the Swedish pre-selection contest, Melodifestivalen 1973. The song differed from the standard "dramatic ballad" tradition of the Eurovision Song at the time with its glam rock influence. The song shot to No. 1 in the UK and stayed there for two weeks, becoming the first of the band's nine UK No. 1's. This artwork features both lead vocalists Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad in their military inspired costumes that they wore at the song contest final including Agnetha’s iconic blue crochet skull cap.”

About: “Young Americans” Depicts David Bowie in August 1974, stepping out of his Lincoln Continental limousine, ready to enter the “Sigma Sound Studio” in downtown Philadelphia to record the “Young Americans” album. The album was released on March 7th 1975 and showcased Bowie's interest in black soul and R&B music. It was Bowie's breakthrough in the USA, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard chart. The single "Fame" from the album became Bowie's first number one hit single.

About: Voulez Vous; (French for "Do you want?") is the sixth studio album by the Swedish supergroup ABBA, released on 23 April 1979. which featured a single of the same name. Abba had moved on from their early 1970’s glam rock period and started to embrace disco music, which was at its peak at the time. The album topped the charts in a number of countries and was one of the top five-selling albums in the UK for that year. This neon artwork is a re-imagined 3D version of the album cover using a similar photo which was taken at Alexandra's night club in Stockholm, which hinted at the disco theme. The reflective surface of the brushed aluminium artwork and the real glass neon lights replicate the original photo which features the group standing in a reflective mirrored room with Agnetha and Frida holding a neon tube. The neon lights provide the perfect medium for this image with its 1970’s disco vibe.

About: This artwork evokes the live "Space Oddity" performance by David Bowie during his 1974 North American Diamond Dogs tour , where he was often elevated above the audience on a cherry picker, singing into a phone prop as Major Tom reaching out into the void.
With his signature flame-orange hair, mint-green shirt, red braces, and bright blue trousers, he sits on stage holding the red telephone to his ear, a traditional symbol of urgent communication - his eyes closed in quiet reflection.
