About: "Like a Prayer," released in 1989, is one of Madonna’s most iconic and controversial hits, serving as the lead single from her fourth studio album of the same name. The song, blending pop, gospel, and rock elements, was a commercial success, topping charts worldwide and solidifying Madonna’s status as a cultural icon. "Like a Prayer" explores the intersection of spirituality and sexuality, with Madonna using religious metaphors to convey intense personal devotion.

In the portrait Madonna is pictured in a large Catholic Church kneeling at the altar with a microphone in her hands, inspired by her performance of the track in concert in 1990 during her “Blonde Ambition” tour which became one of her most iconic visual looks.
