"Ferrari" (Ferrari Testarossa)

£2,895.00
sold out

Artwork Inspiration:

This mixed media aluminum artwork takes inspiration from the pulsating rhythm of English DJ James Hype's 2022 global club hit "Ferrari," - a song that captures the intensity of romantic desire through the metaphor of a high-speed car. The phrase 'You still make my heart beat fast, Ferrari' suggests that the person the singer is addressing has a powerful effect on them, akin to the out of control adrenaline rush you feel when being driven in a Ferrari.

The artwork mirrors the song's metaphor featuring anatomical engravings of a human heart and double halftone screen prints of the Ferrari Testarossa, which was an automotive icon of the 1980’s / 90’s driven by many celebrities such as Mike Tyson, Michael Jordon and Dr Dre to name a few. The choice of the Testerossa hints at an underlying message: True passion can be timeless, just like a classic car that retains its appeal despite the passage of years !

Below: Watch “Ferrari” by DJ James Hype featuring Miggy Dela Rosa

Materials: Mixed media on a brushed aluminium plate with a flawless high gloss finish. Mounted on matt black anodised aluminium with a precision machined black anodised finishing strip.

Framed Size: 97cm x 97cm

Edition: Original 1/1 signed by artist.
