About: The original artworks for this series of prints were co-signed by Pele and first shown at Peles 75th birthday art exhibition at the Halcyon Gallery in 2015 and also at the National football museum, Manchester in 2017. The inspiration came from Warhol’s 1978 “athletes” series of portraits. The collage images were sourced from a vintage 1972 advert for Puma football boots and an original 1970’s Pele endorsed Spalding Handler football.
